• studies in chemical engineering and chemistry at the TU Berlin
• doctoral degree (1971)
• studies in law at the FU Berlin
• patent attorney with own firm (1977-89), founding partner of Maikowski & Ninnemann (since 1990)

Activities:

• German, European and international patent applications (in particular mechanical engineering and chemistry including chemical engineering)
• national and international trademark law
• litigation of patents, utility models and trademarks
• preparation of license and cooperation agreements
• counselling in the employee's invention law

Engagement:

• tutor for seminars for German patent attorney candidates
• member of the council of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi)
• chair of the finance committee of the epi
• treasurer of the German national group of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI)
• member of the executive commitee of the AIPPI
• chair of the district group GRUR Berlin-Brandenburg
• member of the examining commission for the admission of German patent attorneys
• chair of the professional education committee of the Patentanwaltskammer
